Why Olegna exists.

Most early-stage capital comes from people who have never actually built a company. Olegna comes from the other side of that table. Every founder we back gets capital from someone who has been the one staring down a payroll, scaling a marketing function from scratch, or sitting at the M&A close.

Founder-aligned capital is the easy thing to claim. Most "operator-friendly" funds are LPs in a partnership with one operator and three financial GPs. Olegna is a single operator who runs his own checks — small ones, by design — and stays in the work after the wire.

"I write smaller checks because I want to actually do the work alongside the founder, not just sit on the board."

Track record.

Two operator-led exits. Both involved being inside the company, not adjacent to it.

Sep 2025 · Exit

$17M → $165M to Kraken.

Joined a crypto fintech at $17M revenue as CMO. Built the marketing function, scaled the brand, and partnered on the strategy that took it to a $165M acquisition by Kraken five years later. Left to start Off Zero and run Olegna full-time.

May 2020 · Exit

Marketplace tech to SevenFifty / Provi.

Co-founded an ecommerce technology startup serving the beverage-alcohol industry. Acquired by SevenFifty (now Provi) in May 2020 — a structural acquisition that consolidated the modern B2B marketplace stack for the category.

2015 → 2020 · Operator

SVP Marketing, NYC beverage-alcohol importer.

Senior marketing leadership at a NY importer responsible for a broad portfolio of premium imports. Brand work, distribution, sell-through. The years that taught me how consumer brands actually move from idea to shelf to repeat-purchase.

2008 → 2015 · Agency

Partner + founder, two agencies.

Partner at a digital media agency. Earlier, founded a branding + web development agency during college and sold the book of business in 2015. Two practical educations in how marketing services actually get bought, delivered, and renewed.

What changed when I crossed the table.

Three things, mostly. First — I stopped caring about pattern-matching. The companies I most want to back don't fit the slides. They're founder-led, single-category, often boring on paper, and devastating on execution. Second — I stopped trusting the deck and started trusting the conversation. The five minutes of how a founder talks about their customer tells me more than 30 pages of TAM math. Third — I stopped writing big checks. Small checks force conviction.

Off Zero, and the AI thesis.

I built Off Zero because I needed it. After a decade of running marketing teams, the gap between what marketers wanted to ship and what they had time to ship was widening every year. AI didn't close that gap with chat — it closes it with agents. Off Zero builds the agents.

That work bleeds back into Olegna two ways. First, it sharpens the lens on consumer-brand investments — I see now which marketing problems actually compound and which ones don't. Second, it powers the AI enablement work Olegna does for clients in the Lehigh Valley and across the Northeast. Same team, two products. The investment side and the consulting side feed each other.

Personal.

Married to Cristina. We're raising a daughter. Wake at 5am to lift — most days with my wife. Read Marcus Aurelius and the usual self-improvement canon. Collect watches because they're the only thing I own that gets better with use. Live in the Lehigh Valley because the math on quality-of-life vs. proximity-to-the-Acela has been obvious to me for a decade.

The bio in 30 seconds: grew up in central New Jersey, two years in Tampa, five in Philadelphia, now Lehigh Valley. The Northeast operator network is the one I came up in and the one Olegna serves.

How to work together.

Three doors.

If you're a founder pitching a company — read the portfolio and confirm we're a fit. Olegna invests in consumer brands and technology adjacent to them. Small checks, hands-on. Email me directly.

If you're a CEO looking for marketing or AI consulting — see the services page. Strategic engagements, fractional CMO work, and AI strategy + enablement. Lehigh Valley first, broader Northeast remote.

If you're an operator in the Northeast we should know each other — just say hi. Half of what Olegna does is keep a real network warm.
